The Blue Boar Hotel - Witney

Fairly clean hotel, attentive and accommodating staff, airy rooms. Brilliant location for our visit to St Mary's Church within walking distance of the property. Fab and exceptional meals. What a pleasant stay, nothing too much trouble.

By and large, it was ideal base for sightseeing in Witney, had much fun.

Was nice, but the room's heating system was a bit ineffective. We were initially freezing until we figured out how to adjust it properly. The breakfast was good and definitely a highlight!

solid respectable hotel with no pretentions. The staff were helpful, but the room was in need of some TLC. The present owners have recently acquired the business and within the next few months will be carrying out renovations to make a first class hotel

Our stay at the Marlborough was very enjoyable, friendly staff and very helpful. Room was comfortable with everything we needed for our stay.

Little concerned about cleanliness of bathroom but on the whole ok.

The Blue Boar provided a comfortable environment for my business trip. The staff was attentive and efficient, assisting promptly with my requests. The breakfast was a standout, with freshly prepared dishes to energize my morning meetings. The location proved convenient for accessing local business venues and restaurants.

The room could benefit from updated furnishings.

Very Nice hotel, comfy beds and rooms, good breakfast perfect for my overnight stay.

PARKING- none on site and extremely difficult finding somewhere to park!! Did email hotel prior to visit asking for directions to nearest/best car-park, but had no reply. Will be ticking yes when recommending this hotel as it is a nice hotel just be aware of the above!

Consider trying the unique wood-fired pizza, which is surely a highlight you wouldn't want to miss.

The hotel was very clean and tidy, the staff were friendly, professional and hardworking.. The food & wine was good/excellent. All at a very reasonable price.

No parking?

It was an excelent hotel in an excelent location. the staff could not have been more welcoming and they all had a smile on their faces would recomend to everybody who fancies a nice weekend away

Great location, lovely outdoor seating area, and a unique touch with Roman porchetta on the menu. Enjoyed a relaxing time!

Thoroughly refurbished in a contemporary style. Nice rooms, helpful staff and cooked to order breakfast included in rates.A Decent choice if you need to be in Witney,which is not the prettiest of the Cotwold villages.

Lack of private off street parking. Quite a noisy central location.

We enjoyed great meals at a nearby Italian restaurant and visited a local art gallery. Just a heads up , parking can be tricky, so plan ahead. Definitely recommend the delicious pizzas and friendly staff!

The only downside was the loud music on Friday nights, hard to sleep early.
